I'm super excited to announce that Clayoquot is the January sweater for the #yearofsweaters KAL! I love Tin Can Knits patterns, and I've had my eye on this cardigan for quite a while. The only thing that's stopped me from making it sooner was my anxiety about steeking. I spent quite a bit of time reading about the technique, including Alexa and Emily's fantastic tutorial, and decided that I was going to jump in and learn with my first sweater project of 2017!
I'll be making it in the child's size 6-8 for this crazy lady.
Scarlet loves filling her pockets with things: acorns, tiny plastic goats, bits of embroidery floss, rocks... the pockets on this sweater will be perfect!
I'll be using Woolstok to knit the Clayoquot (which is worsted, rather than dk) so I'll definitely be working up a gauge swatch for this project. Having the option of choosing 150g and 50g skeins make Woolstok one of my go-to yarns for color work. Here are the colors that I'll be using:
